Most people begin with a cheap bbq smoker.  It is 20 inches in diameter and has about 3 feet in length.  It has the temperature gauge that reads hot, warm, and cold.  It also contains two different porcelain pans so that you can hold charcoal in the one and water in the other.  It also has a grill and is made up of heavy sheet metal.  It is the best to be used as bbq smoker.  The charcoal gives out heat and smoke when you fill a good amount of charcoal, wood in it.  And it will produce a very good amount of smoke and will help you prepare smoke food then you out wood over the charcoal.  You can also pour wine, herbs and other favors in the hanging porcelain pans.  You can also use it to place water in order to produce some steam.  The major disadvantage of such kind of bbq smokers is that they have a very low capacity and can only smoke about 20 pounds of Turkey.
